The Malvasia Reggiano Secco DOC 'Daphne' from Medici Ermete presents as a dry, linear white with a fresh, fragrant character. On the nose there are notes of white flowers, white-fleshed fruit and light citrus, accompanied by discreet herbaceous hints. The palate is taut, with lively acidity supporting a savory thread; the structure remains slim and flowing, favoring clarity and elegance over power. The taste development leads to a moderately persistent finish where the aromatic notes return in balance.

It pairs easily with light traditional dishes: seafood antipasti, light soups, salads and preparations based on vegetables or delicate fish. It also works as an aperitif, served cool but not icy, at around 8–10 °C; it is recommended to drink it young to appreciate its primary freshness. The name 'Daphne' and the Medici Ermete label indicate an offer that emphasizes immediacy and everyday drinkability.

Winery history
Founded in 1890 by Remigio Medici. Managed by Ermete and subsequent generations, the company took part in the Lambrusco boom of the 1970s. In the late 1980s the family restructured production (lower yields, replanting) and in 1993 launched the Lambrusco “Concerto.” Today the fifth generation leads the winery, which manages about 80 hectares of organically farmed vineyards.
Production philosophy
Enhancing territory and typicity through respectful viticulture (reduced yields per hectare), strict grape selection, careful winemaking and a commitment to sustainability (the “Generation 2031” program and organic conversion of vineyards).
Terroir and vineyards
Emilia-Romagna (province of Reggio Emilia): vineyards spread between the plain and the hills of the Enza valley; soils mainly clayey. Company headquarters in Gaida di Reggio Emilia.
Awards and recognitions
Lambrusco "Concerto" has repeatedly received the Tre Bicchieri di Gambero Rosso; other recent recognitions include high scores from Wine Enthusiast for "Phermento" and medals and mentions in international competitions. Reported certifications: organic and Equalitas.
