It is best enjoyed neat, slightly chilled, or over ice, ideal after a meal or as a contemplative pause; it naturally accompanies dry pastries, dark chocolate, or a ristretto espresso. At the same time it can be used in more structured mixes when a slightly bitter, aromatic note is desired, offering interesting possibilities for cocktails.
