In the glass it shows a clear ruby color, inviting an exploration balanced between fruit and finesse. On the nose there are aromas of ripe cherry, plum and light floral hints, accompanied by subtle spicy nuances. On the palate it confirms a soft texture with well-harmonized tannins, supported by a fresh acidity typical of Alto Adige; the sip is smooth, with fruity memories that linger without excess. Tenuta J Hofstatter offers a Merlot that favors elegance and sensory clarity over opulence, presenting itself as a cared-for everyday companion.

It pairs well with light white and red meat dishes, delicate cured meats, medium-aged cheeses and mushroom-based preparations. Recommended serving temperature is around 16–18 °C to appreciate its freshness and balance. For those who wish to follow its development, store it in a cool, stable place; it remains very enjoyable when consumed in the first years after purchase. Also excellent with simple everyday cuisine pairings.
