Produced exclusively with 100% Cupreata agave, a wild variety that only grows in the mountainous regions of Guerrero, this mezcal boasts a distinctly complex aromatic profile. The agave is cooked in traditional pit ovens, covered with earth, to acquire that typical smoky flavor that distinguishes high-quality mezcals. Subsequently, the fermentation occurs naturally and the distillation is done in copper stills, following ancient traditions.
On the nose, Mezcal De Leyenda Guerrero offers intense notes of damp earth, pine, and subtle hints of citrus, which then evolve into a pleasant complexity of herbal and mineral aromas. On the palate, nuances of dried fruit, smoke, and an unusual but enjoyable flinty note unfold, harmoniously tying into the long and persistent aftertaste, with accents of spices and bitter chocolate.
Serve this mezcal at room temperature to fully appreciate its range of flavors, ideally accompanied by a pinch of worm salt and slices of orange, as per Mexican tradition. Mezcal De Leyenda Guerrero is more than a drink; it is a sensory journey into the cultural and natural depths of Guerrero, making it an impeccable addition for connoisseurs in search of an authentic and impactful mezcal experience.
