The Montefalco Rosso DOC from Le Cimate is a robust and intensely aromatic red wine, capturing the essence of the Umbrian region from which it originates. This wine is primarily made from Sangiovese grapes, expertly blended with Sagrantino and Merlot, giving it a complex structure and a distinctive character.

Visually, the Montefalco Rosso displays a vibrant ruby-red color, which tends towards garnet as it ages. On the nose, it is rich in aromas ranging from fruity notes of cherry and plum to more evolved hints of spices and leather, evidence of a well-balanced maturation between wood barrels and bottles.

On the palate, balance is key. The entry is smooth, with present but well-polished tannins. Freshness is maintained by good acidity that refreshes the palate, while flavors of ripe red fruits blend with spicy accents and a subtle aftertaste of vanilla and tobacco, derived from wood aging.

The winemaking follows traditional methods with fermentation in stainless steel and further aging in oak barrels, which not only enriches the aromatic profile of the wine but also ensures greater longevity. This wine is recommended to be served at a temperature of 18-20°C.

Ideal for pairing with red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, the Montefalco Rosso DOC from Le Cimate is perfect for any occasion that requires a wine with character and depth. An excellent companion for significant dinners or to be enjoyed calmly to appreciate every nuance.
