The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC produced by Mucci Valentino winery is a red wine that captures the essence of the Abruzzo region, where the vineyards stretch across gentle hills and the mild climate of the Adriatic Sea. This wine is made exclusively from Montepulciano grapes, a native varietal that finds an ideal terrain here to fully express its character.

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC by Mucci Valentino presents itself with a deep ruby red color, heralding the aromatic richness that will unfold on the palate. The nose reveals intense notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, enhanced by hints of violets and sweet spices, including vanilla and cinnamon, contributed by subtle aging in wood.

On the palate, the wine is robust yet harmonious, with a perfect balance between the softness of the tannins and the refreshing acidity. Flavors of red fruit blend with touches of chocolate and tobacco, giving the Montepulicano d'Abruzzo a long and pleasantly persistent finish.

Ideal to pair with structured dishes such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, this wine particularly shines with traditional Abruzzese cuisine. It is advisable to serve it at a temperature of about 18°C to fully enjoy its qualities.

Produced in small batches to ensure maximum attention to every detail, the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Mucci Valentino represents an excellent choice for lovers of quality Italian wines.

Winery history
The Mucci family embodies a winemaking tradition dating back to the late 19th century: great-grandfather Luigi Mucci obtained a diploma in oenology in 1895, and the passion for the vine has been passed down ever since. In the 1980s, grandfather Valentino revived the family business, and in subsequent generations — today led by Aurelia and Valentino Mucci — the winery has expanded its range and markets while maintaining direct management of the vineyards.
Production philosophy
An approach based on family continuity, attentive vineyard care and a balance between tradition and innovation; the winery prefers to vinify its own grapes to highlight the character of the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located on the hills of Torino di Sangro, within the Terre di Chieti area of the Abruzzo region.

On its website the winery lists international awards, including Korea Wine Challenge, Japan Wine Challenge, Merano Wine Award and Selections Mondiales des Vins.
