Immerse yourself in the essence of Maremma Toscana with the Morellino di Scansano Riserva DOCG from Cerreto Piano winery. This wine represents a perfect blend of tradition and quality, where careful selection of grapes and winemaking techniques celebrate the richness of this land.

The Morellino di Scansano Riserva DOCG from Cerreto Piano stands out for its intense ruby red color, with nuances that tend towards garnet as it ages. On the nose, enveloping aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and delicate balsamic notes emerge, enriched by a light touch of vanilla and leather, resulting from aging in barriques.

On the palate, it is robust and harmonious. The introduction is dominated by berries, followed by an evolution where flavors of dark chocolate and tobacco emerge, blending into a long and persistently spicy finish.

This wine is the result of a methodical selection of Sangiovese grapes, which find one of their finest expressions here, thanks to the temperate climate and well-drained soils typical of the Scansano region. The maturation takes place for at least two years, with at least twelve months in oak barrels, lending it structure and complexity.

Ideal paired with rich dishes such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Morellino di Scansano Riserva DOCG Cerreto Piano is a wine that promises to evolve splendidly over the coming years.

Serve at a temperature of about 18°C to fully appreciate its qualities. A wine for meditation, it also lends itself to prolonged aging which will further enhance its characteristics. A treasure of Tuscan viticulture to discover and love.
