The Muscadet Sur Lie Sèvre et Maine Château Gravelle comes from the Vignobles Gunther Chereau, located in the picturesque Loire region of France. This white wine is distinguished by its Sur Lie vinification method, which involves aging on the fine lees for several months. This process imparts extraordinary complexity and a richer texture to the wine.

With a pale and crystalline color, the Muscadet Sur Lie offers subtle aromas of white flowers, green apple, and a light mineral note typical of the region on the nose. On the palate, it is dry and lively, with a freshness that reflects the purity of its terroir. Citrus notes and a subtle minerality lead to a clean and persistent finish.

Ideal to serve as an aperitif or paired with fish dishes, seafood, and scallops, this wine promises to enhance any meal with its balance and elegance. Truly a specimen that represents the authentic expression of the Loire terroir.

Winery history
The estate is family-run, with deep, diverse roots in the Vignoble Nantais. The family has gradually acquired several properties, including Château du Coing, Château de la Gravelle and Grand Fief de la Cormeraie. Véronique Günther-Chéreau left her career as a pharmacist to dedicate herself to the vineyards, and since 2010 her daughter Aurore, a winemaker, has been involved in running the estate.
Production philosophy
The estate's approach emphasizes the expression of terroir and parcel selection: the cuvées are crafted to reflect the characteristics of the soils and individual vineyards. In recent years the estate has begun transitioning some parcels to organic practices, with careful vineyard management and winemaking aimed at maximizing minerality and purity.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the heart of Sèvre-et-Maine, the estate works with heterogeneous terroirs spread across Monnières, Gorges and Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine. The vineyards sit on varied soils, and some parcels display distinctive geological features that influence the style of the Muscadet produced.
