The Muscadet Sur Lie Sèvre et Maine St.Hubert Coing, produced by the renowned Vignobles Gunther Chereau, is an excellent representation of the Loire region's viticulture in France. This white wine is celebrated for its "sur lie" vinification method, where the fine lees remain in contact with the wine during winter, adding complexity and texture. The result is a crystalline Muscadet with vibrant freshness.

On the nose, the Muscadet Sur Lie releases delicate aromas of green apple and citrus, followed by mineral nuances that reflect the unique terroir of Sèvre et Maine. On the palate, it stands out for its lively acidity and well-balanced structure. The fruity notes blend with a slight yeasty aftertaste, stemming from the "sur lie" aging, which imparts a pleasant complexity to this wine.

Recommended to accompany seafood or fish dishes, the Muscadet Sur Lie Sèvre et Maine St.Hubert Coing is also a great companion for a summer evening or a sophisticated aperitif. Serve chilled to best enhance its qualities.

Winery history
The estate is family-run, with deep, diverse roots in the Vignoble Nantais. The family has gradually acquired several properties, including Château du Coing, Château de la Gravelle and Grand Fief de la Cormeraie. Véronique Günther-Chéreau left her career as a pharmacist to dedicate herself to the vineyards, and since 2010 her daughter Aurore, a winemaker, has been involved in running the estate.
Production philosophy
The estate's approach emphasizes the expression of terroir and parcel selection: the cuvées are crafted to reflect the characteristics of the soils and individual vineyards. In recent years the estate has begun transitioning some parcels to organic practices, with careful vineyard management and winemaking aimed at maximizing minerality and purity.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the heart of Sèvre-et-Maine, the estate works with heterogeneous terroirs spread across Monnières, Gorges and Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine. The vineyards sit on varied soils, and some parcels display distinctive geological features that influence the style of the Muscadet produced.
