The Nebbiolo Langhe DOC from Frales, produced by the renowned Silvano Bolmida winery, is a wine that encapsulates the excellence and tradition of Piedmontese viticulture. This wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes, the noble variety that is the foundation of the famous Barolo and Barbaresco, offering a rich but more accessible taste experience compared to its more prestigious cousins.

The color of the Nebbiolo Langhe DOC is typically garnet red with orange hues that deepen over the years. On the nose, it presents with intense and complex aromas, characterized by notes of red fruits, violet, and a light spiciness reminiscent of nutmeg, all enveloped in a subtle veil of vanilla and tobacco provided by aging in wood.

In the mouth, the wine reveals itself to be structured and well-balanced. The entry is soft, with a tannic texture that is present yet elegant, leading to a mid-palate filled with flavors of ripe fruit and earthy nuances. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant acidity that invites another sip.

The winemaking follows traditional Piedmontese methods, with a maceration of the skins that lasts several weeks to extract color, aromas, and tannins. Aging takes place partly in large barrels and partly in barriques, thus balancing the power of Nebbiolo with the delicacy of the wood.

The Nebbiolo Langhe DOC from Frales is ideal to be served with red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses. It is also an excellent companion to dishes rich in mushrooms and truffles, typical of Piedmontese cuisine. With its distinctive character and remarkable adaptability, it represents an excellent choice for anyone wishing to explore the richness of Piedmont wines.
