Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses
Mature cherry and raspberry combine with a floral note of rose and a slightly earthy background that makes the profile complex but not excessive.

On the palate the character is nervy and taut, the acidity lively, the tannins present but well integrated, contributing to a balance that favors drinkability without sacrificing structure. The finish is pleasant and leaves the palate ready for another sip. The magnum bottle highlights the softness of the fruit and a more even maturation over time, making it ideal both for relatively early drinking and for a few years in the cellar. It pairs very well with traditional dishes: braised meats, stewed mushrooms or hard cheeses, but it also holds up elegantly with a menu of roasts and game. Serve at a moderate temperature and open a little in advance if you want to bring out its aromas.

Traditional winemaking with long fermentations and ageing in casks, tonneaux and barriques. They also produce Metodo Classico and Barolo grappa aged in barrique.
Winery history
The estate was founded in 1958 when Crissante Alessandria, together with his wife Teresa, decided to vinify the grapes from the family vineyards, which until then had been sold to other wineries in the Langa. Over the years the property expanded its vineyards on La Morra’s best exposures; management has remained family-run and today is led by Michele Alessandria, with the involvement of his sons Alberto and Luca.
Production philosophy
Production rooted in the traditions of the region: use of native grape varieties, traditional winemaking with extended fermentations, and careful ageing in wooden vessels of varying sizes to respect the specific characteristics of each wine.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate’s vineyards are located in the municipality of La Morra, in the Capalot, Galina and Roggeri vineyards. The winery and family residences are situated in the hamlet of Santa Maria Borgata Roggeri.
