The Nebbiolo Rosso Gattinara DOCG 2009 by Torraccia is born in the heart of Valsesia, one of the most suitable areas in Piedmont for the expression of this noble grape variety. The Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated on porphyry-rich soils, give the wine an elegant structure and a complex character, also thanks to an extended aging that may involve oak barrels. On the nose, it releases intense and refined aromas of withered roses, ripe cherry, sweet spices, and earthy hints. On the palate, it reveals itself to be harmonious and persistent, with soft but well-defined tannins, a texture that wraps around, and a long, savory finish. Winery history

The company's origins date back to the 1950s, when Pierino Piantavigna planted the first vineyards; it was officially established in 1997 by Alessandro Francoli. Over time ownership and management have evolved to include local family collaborations and an expansion of vineyards and production, while maintaining a focus on the viticultural traditions of the Colline Novaresi.
