The Nebbiolo Rosso Gattinara DOCG 2015 by Torraccia is born in the heart of Piedmont, in the historic area of Gattinara, famous for its volcanic soils rich in minerality. This wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes, the emblematic variety of the Langhe and Piedmont, here expressed with elegance and structure. The aging takes place in oak barrels that give the wine a perfect harmony between soft tannins and a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, floral notes, and subtle spicy hints.

In the glass it shows an intense ruby color, supported by seductive aromas of cherry, plum, and a touch of dried violet. The sip is enveloping, with a balanced tannic texture and a pleasant freshness, making it ideal to accompany roasted red meats, aged cheeses, and typical dishes of Piedmontese cuisine. A great classic to enjoy with calm and dedication.

Winery history

The company's origins date back to the 1950s, when Pierino Piantavigna planted the first vineyards; it was officially established in 1997 by Alessandro Francoli. Over time ownership and management have evolved to include local family collaborations and an expansion of vineyards and production, while maintaining a focus on the viticultural traditions of the Colline Novaresi.
