In the heart of Piedmont, the DOCG Gattinara skillfully expresses Nebbiolo, the grape variety that gives life to this fine Nebbiolo Rosso 2017 signed Torraccia. The vineyards, resting on soils rich in porphyry in the dedicated territory of Gattinara, give the wine an elegant structure and a decisive character, the result of careful fermentation and controlled aging that enhances the typical expression of Nebbiolo. In the glass, it appears with an intense garnet red color, while the bouquet opens with aromas of withered rose, sweet spices, cherry, and mineral hints that recall the soil of origin.

On the palate, the tannic texture is refined, supported by fresh acidity that provides longevity and gustatory breadth. This wine, full-bodied yet balanced, pairs splendidly with red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses, perfectly interpreting the enological tradition of Gattinara.

Winery history

The company's origins date back to the 1950s, when Pierino Piantavigna planted the first vineyards; it was officially established in 1997 by Alessandro Francoli. Over time ownership and management have evolved to include local family collaborations and an expansion of vineyards and production, while maintaining a focus on the viticultural traditions of the Colline Novaresi.
