The Nebbiolo Rosso Ghemme DOCG 2006 from Torraccia shows a mature, measured profile with an evolved garnet colour. On the nose there are notes of cooked red fruit, plum and tertiary hints of leather and light spice; additional nuances include slight floral notes and balsamic touches that add complexity. The intensity is restrained but well defined, without excess. On the palate it displays present but smoothed tannins from age, acidity that supports the structure and a medium-to-full body; the persistence is pleasant and leaves fruity returns and subtle earthy nuances with an overall soft texture.

It is a wine to taste slowly, suitable for pairing with dishes of pronounced but not extreme flavour, or to enjoy on its own to appreciate its evolution. It can accompany red meats, roasts and hard cheeses; those who prefer may allow further bottle ageing to see additional integration of the aromatic profiles. Storage and service require moderate attention to temperature and possible decanting to open the aromatic profile. The approach respects the balance between freshness and maturity, without claims of monumentality.

Winery history
Terroir and vineyards
Awards and recognitions
