The Nizza DOCG Barbera Cipressi in magnum format from Chiarlo presents a straightforward expression of Barbera, concentrated yet measured. In the glass it shows an intense ruby color with violet highlights; on the nose it opens with aromas of ripe red fruits — cherry and plum — accompanied by light spice notes and balsamic hints. The olfactory approach is clean and unpretentious, without excess, inviting a simple tasting. The overall impression remains restrained, with aromatic presence that does not overpower the palate.

On the palate it confirms a structure centered on Barbera's typical acidity, balanced by present but well-integrated tannins and a fresh sensation that keeps the sip lively. The finish tends toward persistence with fruity returns. It pairs with cured meats, grilled meats, savory risottos and medium-aged cheeses; it is convenient to serve in company. The magnum format suits convivial moments and sharing. Recommended serving temperature 16–18 °C; a few minutes of aeration after opening can help reveal its openness and depth.
