The 2021 Nobile di Montepulciano from Avignonesi shows natural balance and great expressive clarity: the wine's substance is well balanced on a fresh energy that makes it immediate but not simple. In the glass you find ripe red fruits and plum, hints of violet and a light touch of tobacco and sweet spices; a toasty note adds depth without being intrusive. The vintage gives compactness and tannic finesse, with an overall harmonious and convincing profile.

On the palate the wine is medium‑full-bodied, with silky tannins and lively acidity that ensure a smooth flow and freshness; its sapidity underpins the sip and the finish recalls fruity echoes and a subtle earthy streak. It already shows appreciable personality but has good potential for bottle evolution: a few years will soften the tannins and enhance the secondary notes. Excellent with roasts, hearty meats and aged cheeses; serve at around 16-18°C after a short decantation.
