Querciabella's Palafreno Toscana Rosso IGT is an oenological excellence that reflects the dedication and winemaking art of the Querciabella winery, located in the heart of Tuscany. This single-varietal Merlot wine is a sophisticated and intense expression, capturing the essence of one of the noblest grape varieties through the unique interpretation of the Tuscan terroir.

Querciabella, renowned for its commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture, has always aimed for excellence, taking care of every detail of production with attention and respect for the environment. Palafreno is the result of this philosophy, born from carefully selected grapes and grown in the ideal conditions offered by the Tuscan hills.

Winemaking follows the principles of minimal intervention, to preserve the integrity of the fruit and its most authentic expression. The refinement in French oak barriques enriches the wine with complex and deep nuances, perfectly balancing the power of the Merlot with the finesse of the wood.

Visually, the Palafreno presents itself with an intense and deep ruby red color. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and complex, with aromas of ripe red fruits, notes of chocolate, coffee and a light spiciness, which give elegance and depth. The care in choosing the wood for aging helps to create an inviting and never predictable olfactory profile.

In the mouth, the wine demonstrates extraordinary concentration and a robust structure, supported by silky tannins and well-balanced acidity. The flavors of blackberry, cherry and plum intertwine with earthy and tobacco notes, leading to a long and persistent finish, which leaves room for a pleasant minerality and an aftertaste of vanilla and sweet spices.

Palafreno Toscana Rosso IGT is a wine that stands out for its ability to evolve over time, gaining in complexity and harmony. It is ideal to accompany rich and tasty dishes, such as red meats, game and mature cheeses, but it can also be enjoyed on its own, as a meditation, to grasp all its nuances.

With Palafreno, Querciabella celebrates the expressive strength of Merlot and the uniqueness of the Tuscan terroir, offering a tasting experience that remains imprinted for its elegance, power and depth.
