Distilled with skill and care, the Penderyn Madeira undergoes initial maturation in bourbon barrels before being finished in prestigious Madeira casks, giving the whisky unique and intriguing nuances. On the palate, it is noted for its elegance and complexity, offering hints of dried fruit, vanilla, and a touch of spices, enriched by a charming sweetness reminiscent of honey and caramel. The finishing in Madeira casks also provides a distinctive fruity and slightly spicy aftertaste that lingers pleasantly.
With an alcohol content of 40-46%, Penderyn Madeira boasts a bright golden color, which heralds the richness and intensity of its aromatic qualities. This whisky is not only an excellent choice for collectors and whisky enthusiasts, but also, with the two included glasses, it transforms into a perfect gift for special occasions.
Ideally, Penderyn Madeira should be tasted at room temperature, poured slowly into the glass to appreciate all its aromatic nuances. It is perfect to be enjoyed neat, for those who desire a pure and intense tasting experience, but it also serves as an excellent base for innovative cocktails that require a rich and structured profile.
This special pack from Penderyn is a true tribute to Welsh distilling tradition, combining artisanal quality and innovation. A sublime addition to any high-quality spirit collection.

Distillation
Use of the 'Faraday' still (single-pot with integrated column) to obtain high-purity new-make (~92% ABV) in a single pass; use of traditional pot stills (70–73% ABV new-make) and lantern stills for stylistic variation.
Ageing
Maturation predominantly in ex-bourbon casks for the main ageing phase and finishes in Madeira casks; sherry, port and other cask types are also used for specific expressions and single cask releases.
