The Pernod aperitif is one of the best known aniseed liqueurs in the world and with an ancient history of over 200 years behind it.
Even if it is associated with the extended Pastis family, it cannot properly be considered as such since among its ingredients we find very little licorice! A liqueur, an ancient standard-bearer of French traditions that comes from the union of the distillation (and not the maceration) of particular varieties of aromatic herbs and spices, with the addition of the essence of star anise, coriander and mint.
The result is a liqueur with an intense and unique taste, to be consumed mixed with water and ice for tasty aperitifs, or with fruit juices and distillates to create delicious and particular cocktails.
Colorless and crystalline, Pernod Aperitivo offers the nose intense hints of anise, notes of fresh aromatic herbs and spices, conveyed by the alcoholic note; on the palate it is extremely fresh, in perfect harmony, with a tasty and long spicy finish.
