The Petrucci Anfiteatro DOC Orcia - Magnum - Wooden Case by Podere Forte is an extraordinary red wine that comes from the picturesque region of Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO heritage site. It embodies the perfect fusion of tradition and innovation that characterizes the philosophy of Podere Forte, a winery renowned for its commitment to quality and sustainability.

This wine is produced in limited quantities, making it a prized possession for connoisseurs. The Petrucci Anfiteatro stands out for its intense and deep red color. On the nose, it offers an extraordinary aromatic complexity, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, enriched by delicate hints of spices, leather, and chocolate, resulting from the long aging in French oak barriques.

On the palate, the wine is powerful but balanced, with a well-integrated tannic structure that promises excellent aging potential. The acidity is well balanced and leads to a long and persistent finish, with a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of spices and red fruit.

Presented in a wooden case and in the Magnum format, the Petrucci Anfiteatro DOC Orcia is ideal for special occasions or as a meaningful gift for wine enthusiasts. It is a wine that tells the story of its terroir, highlighting the high-level winemaking art that distinguishes Podere Forte. To be served at a temperature of 18-20°C, it pairs perfectly with robust dishes such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses.

Winery history
Podere Forte was founded as an agricultural project led by Pasquale Forte and developed around the idea of a self-sufficient estate. The estate, operating since 1997, has re-created an integrated farm in the Val d’Orcia where viticulture, olive growing, beekeeping and livestock farming coexist, following organic and biodynamic practices.
Production philosophy
The estate is managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with attention to soil health, production autonomy and the enhancement of local resources. The approach combines traditional techniques with precision tools in a system called "Sistema Forte," aimed at environmental and social sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the Val d’Orcia, a landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the vineyards are planted on soils rich in schist and clay at varying elevations, which favor typical expressions of Sangiovese and Bordeaux-style blends. The estate also has extensive olive groves and large areas of agricultural land.
Awards and recognitions
Some Podere Forte wines have received recognition in international guides and competitions across different vintages.
