The Pinot Gris Vallee d'Aoste DOP - Rosset represents an extraordinary expression of a French grape variety masterfully adapted to the alpine character of this small, yet charming wine region. Grown on sunny terraces, the Pinot Gris by Rosset benefits from the temperature variation between day and night, giving the wine a typical brightness and freshness, combined with a velvety structure.

Visually, it presents a bright golden yellow color, while on the nose it reveals complex aromas of white-fleshed fruits, such as pear and golden apple, accompanied by delicate floral hints and a light mineral note that tells the alpine terroir story. On the palate, it is harmonious, balanced, and of good persistence, with a pleasant softness balanced by a lively acidity. Ideal paired with delicate fish dishes, fresh cheeses, or vegetable-based appetizers, it best enhances the local gastronomy and mountain atmospheres.

Winery history
The Rosset family began wine production in the early 2000s, planting their first vineyards in Senin and progressively expanding the winery through the acquisition of vineyards in several crus of the Aosta Valley. Over the years the estate has increased its presence in high-altitude vineyards and has complemented its winemaking with agricultural and distillery activities associated with the family group.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to express the identity of the alpine terroir through careful vineyard work, hand-harvesting and carefully calibrated vinification. In the cellar it uses a variety of vessels — stainless steel, barriques, tonneaux, amphorae and earthenware jars — to enhance aromatic precision and minerality, with an approach focused on sustainability and respect for the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Aosta Valley, the winery cultivates parcels on glacial soils with significant temperature variation; vineyards mentioned in sources are located between Saint-Christophe, Quart and areas above 900 metres, with exposures and slopes typical of alpine viticulture.
Awards and recognitions
The winery is cited and reviewed in industry guides and publications; several product pages and online retailers include references to recognitions in national guides.
