The Pinot Noir dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOC "Tavernetto" in Magnum format by Conte Vistarino represents an exaltation of Pinot Noir, a vine that finds a unique expression in the land of the Oltrepò Pavese, thanks to the particular microclimate and the richness of the soils of this Lombardy wine-growing region. The choice of the Magnum format is not only a question of quantity, but also contributes to a slower and more harmonious aging of the wine, allowing a better evolution of its complex aromas and flavors.

The Conte Vistarino estate, pioneer in the cultivation of Pinot Noir in Italy since the 19th century, dedicates particular attention to this vine, taking care of its cultivation in the most suitable vineyards of the Oltrepò Pavese and following viticultural practices that aim to enhance the natural qualities of the grapes, maintaining a sustainable balance with the environment.

The "Tavernetto" is the result of a scrupulous selection of the best Pinot Noir grapes, which after manual harvesting are delicately vinified to preserve the aromatic and gustatory characteristics of the vine. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, while aging in French oak barriques enriches the wine with a subtle aromatic complexity, adding layers of sweet spices, vanilla and toasted notes, which integrate harmoniously with the fruit.

Visually, the wine in the Magnum format presents itself with an elegant and brilliant ruby red color, which preludes a rich and varied olfactory bouquet. On the nose, aromas of cherry, raspberry and blackberry emerge, enriched by nuances of violet, spices and a light touch of leather and damp earth, an expression of the terroir of origin and refinement.

In the mouth, the "Tavernetto" Magnum shows a perfect balance between acidity and tannins, with a structure that envelops the palate without overwhelming it, allowing the flavors of red fruits, spicy and balsamic notes to express themselves fully. The persistence is remarkable, with a finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of freshness and cleanliness.

Perfect as a meditation wine or paired with delicate meat dishes, game, mushrooms and not too mature cheeses, Conte Vistarino's Pinot Noir "Tavernetto" Magnum is an example of how tradition and innovation can meet to produce a wine of exceptional quality and character, capable of telling the history and identity of the Oltrepò Pavese area.
