The Cristiano Van Zeller's Porto Vintage represents an excellent expression of this prestigious category of fortified wine. Produced in Portugal, in the renowned Douro Valley, this Port is the result of a rigorous selection of the finest grapes, often harvested in particularly favorable years.

The color is intensely ruby, with reflections tending towards violet, indicating a vibrant youth that will evolve wonderfully over time. On the nose, the wine offers complex aromas of ripe black fruit, such as plums and blackberries, paired with delicate hints of chocolate and spices, derived from aging in oak barrels. On the palate, Cristiano Van Zeller's Porto Vintage is robust and velvety, with a perfect balance between alcohol and sweetness. The tannins are present but well integrated, providing structure and prolonging the pleasant aftertaste.

This wine is ideal for accompanying aged cheeses or chocolate desserts, but it can be just as appreciated as a contemplative drink at the end of a meal. Aging for at least a few years is recommended to allow it to express all its complex and enveloping qualities.

Winery history
A member of a family active in the Douro wine trade since the 17th century, Cristiano van Zeller worked in several Douro ventures and in 1996 founded Quinta Vale D. Maria together with Joana Lemos. Over time he has led and relaunched the Van Zellers & Co. brand, is among the founders of the CV project, and took part in founding the 'Douro Boys' group to promote Douro DOC wines.
