The Recioto della Valpolicella "La Roggia" in 50cl format by Speri is a sweet red wine, an authentic and refined expression of the winemaking tradition of Valpolicella, in Veneto. The Speri winery, recognized for its dedication to the production of high quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of this region, continues with "La Roggia" the ancient art of creating Recioto, a wine that testifies to the richness and complexity of the native Venetian grapes, in particular the traditional blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara.

The particularity of Recioto della Valpolicella comes from the drying process of the grapes, which are harvested by hand and left to dry for a few months on special racks, losing water and concentrating in sugars, acidity and aromas. This method, which has its roots in a long history and tradition, gives Recioto "La Roggia" exceptional aromatic richness and density, while maintaining a balanced freshness.

"La Roggia" is vinified with care to preserve the integrity of the fruit and the intensity of the aromas concentrated during drying. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, with careful monitoring to stop the process at the right time, thus maintaining part of the natural unfermented sugars that give the wine its characteristic sweetness. Subsequently, the wine matures in small oak barrels, where it acquires complexity, notes of sweet spices and a soft tannic texture.

Visually, Recioto della Valpolicella "La Roggia" has a deep ruby red color, with violet reflections that underline its concentration. On the nose, the bouquet is intense and enveloping, with aromas of ripe red fruit, such as black cherries and plums, enriched by notes of chocolate, vanilla and a light touch of oriental spices, which reflect the harmonious integration with the wood.

In the mouth, "La Roggia" reveals an extraordinary intensity of flavors, balanced by a surprising freshness that supports its drinkability despite the sweetness. The notes of ripe fruit blend with accents of coffee, tobacco and sweet spices, in a perfect balance that leads to a long and persistent finish, with a pleasant sensation of velvety richness.

Ideal as a meditation wine or paired with chocolate desserts, blue cheeses and fruit-based desserts, Speri's Recioto della Valpolicella "La Roggia" is a celebration of Venetian wine excellence, a wine that enchants for its ability to combine sweetness, aromatic intensity and freshness in a harmonious and complex whole.
