The Angostura Rum 1919 8Y is a superb example of rum, produced at the renowned distillery of Trinidad and Tobago. This spirit ages for eight years in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon, allowing the rum to acquire complexity and a rich array of aromas. On the nose, it reveals enveloping notes of vanilla, cocoa, and caramel, intertwined with hints of tobacco and toasted wood. On the palate, it is smooth and well-balanced, with a deep aftertaste of sweet spices and a light trace of molasses, giving it a long and pleasantly aromatic finish.
