The Angostura Rum 1919 8Y is a superb example of rum, produced at the renowned distillery of Trinidad and Tobago. This spirit ages for eight years in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon, allowing the rum to acquire complexity and a rich array of aromas. On the nose, it reveals enveloping notes of vanilla, cocoa, and caramel, intertwined with hints of tobacco and toasted wood. On the palate, it is smooth and well-balanced, with a deep aftertaste of sweet spices and a light trace of molasses, giving it a long and pleasantly aromatic finish. Presented in an elegant gift box, the Angostura Rum 1919 8Y is an ideal choice for a sophisticated gift or to enhance one's collection of quality spirits. Suitable for being enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a base for exclusive cocktails.

Distillation
For rums: distillation in continuous column stills; for bitters/liqueurs: infusion and blending processes (typically not a final distillation).
Ageing
For rums: aging in charred oak barrels; for some liqueurs/bitters the blends are left to marry for maturation periods (e.g. about 3 months for Amaro di ANGOSTURA®).
