The Rhum Brugal XV Reserva Exclusiva is a refined and complex expression from the Dominican Republic, distinguished by its elegant maturation. This rum is created through a meticulous process of selecting and blending rums aged between 3 and 8 years in fine American white oak barrels, originally used for bourbon, followed by an additional maturation period in European barrels that previously contained Pedro Ximenez sherry.
Its aromatic richness is evident from the first taste, with notes of dried fruit, chocolate, and a subtle undertone of vanilla and caramel. The palate is enveloped in a velvety texture where sweetness and spices create a harmonious balance culminating in a long and smooth finish. Being slightly sweeter and incredibly smooth, Brugal XV is the perfect companion for enjoying neat, on the rocks, or as a refined base for premium cocktails.

Distillation
Column distillation with two columns: first column operated at reduced pressure to produce a rough spirit (around 90% ABV), followed by redistillation to very high strength (up to 94.6% ABV) to obtain a light spirit; process described as double column distillation.
Ageing
Aging in casks with management of blends for variable periods (minimum 1 year up to several years); some expressions use double aging (aging in ex-bourbon barrels followed by finishing/aging in sherry casks). Barrels are selected by the Maestros Roneros and re-assembly/re-casking is used for premium reserves.
