The aging process takes place in French oak barrels previously used for cognac, which gives the Rhum JM Tres Vieux XO a truly unique complexity and depth of aromas. With an aging period exceeding six years, this rhum displays a dark, seductive amber color.
On the nose, intense notes of dried fruit, cocoa, and vanilla are perceived, enriched by hints of tobacco and leather that develop due to the long rest in barrels. On the palate, the Rhum JM Tres Vieux XO reveals itself to be softly velvety, with an impeccable balance between sweetness and spice. The flavors of dried plums and sweet spices like cinnamon and clove meld on a slightly smoky background that lingers in the persistent and warm finish.
This rhum is perfect to be enjoyed neat, after a meal, or as the basis of sophisticated cocktails where its richness can truly shine. A true treasure for connoisseurs of quality rum, the Rhum JM Tres Vieux XO promises an intense and memorable tasting experience, highlighting the mastery and tradition of the Agricole J.M distillery.
