On tasting the finish is pleasant but not intrusive; the alcoholic warmth is well integrated and gives way to sweet echoes of caramel and warm spices. It’s well suited to be enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a cube of ice to open up its aromas, or as a base for classic cocktails where a rhum with character but not excessive oxidation is needed. Pair it with cream-based desserts, a selection of soft cheeses, or spicy dishes to balance flavors and structure.
