The Riesling Sélection de Grains Nobles “S” 2015 of the Famille Hugel is a masterpiece of Alsace, a region famous for its aromatic white wines with great longevity. This wine is made from Riesling grapes harvested with the utmost selection, characterized by the presence of “noble rot” (Botrytis cinerea) which concentrates sugars, aromas, and complexity. The late harvest and the vineyard’s favorable climate give the wine a perfect balance between sweetness and freshness.

In the glass, it shows a bright golden yellow with amber reflections. The bouquet is intense and multifaceted, alternating aromas of ripe apricot, acacia honey, candied citrus fruits, and mineral notes reminiscent of flint. The taste is enveloping and smooth, supported by a lively acidity that guarantees cleanliness and persistence. Aging in large barrels preserves the aromatic integrity, enhancing the varietal purity of Riesling.

Perfect companion to foie gras, blue cheeses, or almond desserts, this wine best expresses the Alsatian terroir and the winemaking art of the Famille Hugel, appreciated by connoisseurs and collectors. A refined interpretation of the “Grains Nobles” selection, a luminous and elegant expression of Riesling.
