The Riesling Trocken from Clemens Busch winery is a German white wine that perfectly captures the essence of the Mosel region. Known for its precise dedication to quality and the use of biodynamic methods, Clemens Busch produces wines that are a true reflection of this area's unique terroir.

This Riesling Trocken stands out for its intense and precise aromatic profile. On the nose, vibrant notes of white-fleshed fruit such as apple and pear emerge, followed by hints of citrus and minerals that reflect the region’s characteristic slate soil. On the palate, the wine is extremely balanced: the attack is fresh and lively, thanks to a well-balanced acidity that brings with it a persistently pleasant freshness.

The structure is elegant and delicate, with a texture that is smooth yet maintains a nice tension. The finish is long and clean, with a return of mineral flavors that invite another sip.

With a moderate alcohol content, this Riesling Trocken is ideal as an aperitif or paired with light dishes such as steamed fish or fresh salads. It also serves as an excellent complement to Asian cuisine, balancing elegance and strength without overpowering the delicate flavors of the dishes.

Cultivated with passion and respect for the environment, each bottle of Clemens Busch's Riesling Trocken is a work of art that speaks of the land from which it comes and the philosophy of a producer who aims for sustainable excellence.

Discover the story and wines of Clemens Busch.

An estate in the Mosel (Pünderich) known for Riesling from the terraced Marienburg vineyards and for natural and biodynamic farming practices.
Region: Mosel
Country: Germania
Grapes: Riesling, Spätburgunder
Production is largely concentrated in the Pündericher Marienburg vineyard, with distinct sous-parcels on different schists. Organic cultivation and adoption of certified biodynamic practices. Almost exclusively focused on Riesling, with a small production of Pinot Noir reserved for Blanc de Noir. Natural winemaking: hand-harvested grapes, spontaneous fermentations, aging in large neutral foudres, and minimal use of sulfites. Range that includes single-vineyard bottlings and Grosses Gewächs/Kabinett wines, both dry and sweet.
Winery history
Family-owned winery based in Pünderich. Clemens and Rita Busch reorganized the estate in the 1980s and refocused it on producing site-expressive Riesling. Over the years they progressively adopted organic methods and later biodynamic practices, with their son Johannes also involved in the winemaking.
Production philosophy
The approach aims to express the soil and the vineyard: careful vineyard management, spontaneous fermentations, limited cellar interventions, and ageing in large neutral casks to preserve tension and purity.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is based in Pünderich and operates mainly on the opposite riverbank in the extensive Pündericher Marienburg vineyard, a system of terraces on slate soils that characterizes the local wines.
Awards and recognitions
The wines receive high ratings in guides and reviews: very high scores have been reported for some Marienburg cuvées.
