Ron Zacapa Ediciòn Negra is aged with the solera method in ex Sherry oak barrels, ex Bourbon and Pedro Ximenez wines. The production includes very small batches of distillate; this elixir is an edition that owes its taste to the greater roasting of the wood. This gives it a darker color and a powerful aroma; it was conceived by the master of blends Lorena Vasquez.

Ediciòn Negra ages in the mountains of Guatemala at 2,300 m above sea level, in "the house above the clouds" where only products of excellence can reach us. A perfect blend which, like all great works, requires dedication and sacrifice but is certainly worth the long wait.

In the glass you can admire its very intense amber color, with bright ruby red reflections. Intense aromas of wood and spices arrive on the nose, with sweet hints of vanilla and chocolate, and notes of almonds and hazelnuts and slight hints of toasting. The taste is decidedly varied and broad, balanced and soft, with a persistent finish and long spicy and woody references.
