The Rosa dei Frati DOC from Ca' dei Frati is a splendid expression of a rosé wine produced in the renowned region of Lombardy, specifically on the picturesque shores of Lake Garda. This wine stands out for its freshness and vibrancy, making it an ideal companion for various occasions.

Rosa dei Frati is mainly composed of Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Barbera grapes, which are expertly cultivated and selected to ensure the highest quality. The winemaking process follows traditional methods but with a keen eye on modern techniques, thereby achieving a rosé of excellent balance.

Visually, the wine presents a delicate yet bright pink color, with reflections that dance between shades of coral and geranium. On the nose, Rosa dei Frati offers a rich and complex bouquet, with hints of small red fruits, citrus notes, and a slight floral nuance reminiscent of rose and violet. This olfactory complexity immediately invites tasting.

On the palate, the freshness is immediately evident, balanced by a lovely acidity that makes the wine lively and enticing. The fruity sensations perceived on the nose are confirmed and enriched with nuances of apricot and pomegranate, culminating in a persistent and pleasantly aromatic finish.

Thanks to its structure and harmony, Rosa dei Frati DOC pairs superbly with light appetizers, fish or seafood dishes, and is also perfect as an aperitif. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice for those wishing to explore the sophistication of Italian rosés without compromising on the freshness and vibrancy that characterize these wines.

Winery history
The estate is documented as far back as 1782, and its present course took shape when Felice Dal Cero moved to Lugana di Sirmione in 1939. The Dal Cero family progressively bottled and promoted Lugana; in 1969 Pietro Dal Cero took part in the establishment of the appellation by bottling its first label. Today the estate is managed by succeeding generations of the family, who carry on production and activities tied to the local area.
Production philosophy
Careful work in the vineyard and cellar, with separate vinifications for each vineyard to capture the different expressions of the terroir. The estate declares respect for the raw material, up-to-date techniques and carefully planned ageing to produce wines with integrity and longevity.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's main vineyards are concentrated in the Lugana di Sirmione area and around the tower of San Martino della Battaglia on Lake Garda; in the early 2000s the estate also acquired approximately 11 hectares in Valpolicella, where the Amarone 'Pietro Dal Cero' is produced.
