Winery history
Abraxas originated as a winemaking project rooted in the traditions of Pantelleria. Recent management is linked to the Scudieri family, which—through the Tenute Scudieri/Isula project—has relaunched the estate, enhancing vineyards across the island. The winery follows the practice of alberello pantesco and the traditional production of Passito, while also working with international grape varieties on the heights of Montagna Grande.
Production philosophy
Showcase Pantelleria's agricultural heritage by respecting local practices and focusing on sustainability and land restoration, combining tradition with on-site winemaking techniques.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Pantelleria, the winery stands on the slopes of Montagna Grande and cultivates vineyards in areas such as Bukkuram, Vipera and Randazzo. The area is characterized by volcanic soils, dry-stone walls and heroic viticulture with alberello pantesco and traditional stenditoi for drying the grapes.
