The Rosso di Montalcino DOC crafted by Siro Pacenti is a sparkling gem in the panorama of Tuscan wines. Located in the prestigious Montalcino region, this wine is a tribute to the pure expression of Sangiovese, a regal and predominant grape variety in this area.

The winemaking follows a rigorous protocol that begins with the manual selection of grapes, ensuring that only the best clusters are destined for production. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by a period of aging in oak barrels that helps to refine the already notable characteristics of Sangiovese.

Visually, Siro Pacenti's Rosso di Montalcino displays a bright ruby red color that predisposes one to pleasure. On the nose, the wine offers a complex and elegant bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight hint of vanilla, providing a refined and captivating olfactory structure. On the palate, its robustness is felt, a perfect balance between acidity and soft tannins, which dance harmoniously through to a persistent and pleasantly fresh finish.

This wine ideally accompanies dishes from Tuscan cuisine such as "pappa al pomodoro" or "bistecca alla fiorentina," but it is also excellent with aged cheeses and cured meats. Capable of satisfying the palate of collectors and enthusiasts, Siro Pacenti's Rosso di Montalcino represents an excellent choice for those who wish to approach the wines of this historic region with a bottle that offers a remarkable expression of terroir and winemaking tradition.

Winery history
The estate took shape when Siro Pacenti purchased the Pelagrilli site in 1970; management passed to Giancarlo Pacenti in the late 1980s, a period in which the estate began regularly bottling Rosso and Brunello. In subsequent years the estate expanded its vineyards to the southern slope and developed the cellar and its current winemaking practices.
Production philosophy
The estate prioritizes the cultivation and enhancement of pure Sangiovese, sustainable farming practices, hand-harvesting and grape selection by parcel. At the winery, parcels are vinified separately and wines are aged for extended periods in wood to achieve fine tannins and complexity; some wines are unfiltered and decanting is recommended.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are located mainly in the Pelagrilli area north of Montalcino and in Piancornello to the south. The estate manages vineyards with varying exposures and microclimates to produce wines that balance freshness and structure.
Awards and recognitions
Notable recognitions: James Suckling awarded the Brunello "Vecchie Vigne" 2015 Wine of the Year 2019. The estate's wines also receive high scores from specialist guides and critics.
