The Rosso IGT "Campiume" from Vigne di San Lorenzo shows a restrained, measured profile without excess. In the glass it displays a clear ruby color; on the nose there are aromas of ripe red fruit, light spice notes and floral hints that alternate with restraint. The structure is balanced, supported by present but not aggressive tannins and by an acidity that gives freshness to the sip, while the finish remains clean and smooth. The palate is medium-bodied, with a good balance between fruit and light tertiary notes that enrich the whole without weighing it down.

It suits everyday but attentive drinking and pairs well with simple table dishes and traditional recipes. It goes well with cold cuts, legume soups, pasta with rustic sauces and grilled meats, and also matches semi-hard cheeses. Serve slightly chilled, around 16–18 °C, and briefly decant if you wish to open the aromas. It also adapts to flavorful pizzas and mushroom dishes, proving a congenial companion for informal dinners or family meals.

Region: Emilia-Romagna (province of Ravenna, Brisighella / Montesiepe area)
Country: Italy
Winery history
Filippo Manetti began private winemaking in 1997 and established Vigne di San Lorenzo in 1998. The estate developed as an artisanal producer of small batches (e.g. 'Campiume', 'Oudeis', 'Anam'). Activities took place at the Campiume farm and at Podere Oliveta.
Production philosophy
Organic viticulture and production of 'natural' wines: minimal technology use in vineyard and cellar, spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts and a 'do less / little technology' approach.
Terroir and vineyards
Hills of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines in the Brisighella and Montesiepe subareas (between Ravenna and Forlì-Cesena provinces). Marly and arenaceous soils; hillside vineyards (some plots around ~200 m asl) and olive groves around ~350 m. Limited-production estate, focused on Sangiovese, Albana, Trebbiano.
