The Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore from Numa presents as a concentrated red wine, produced according to organic farming criteria. In the glass it shows ruby tones with slight garnet reflections; on the nose there are aromas of ripe red and dark fruit, subtle spicy notes and a moderate vegetal hint. On the palate it offers medium body, well-integrated tannins and refreshing acidity that aids drinkability; the structure is balanced with a pleasant, unobtrusive persistence.

This wine is suitable served slightly cool for a red and can be opened a few minutes before serving for a brief airing. It is versatile with food: pairs well with meat dishes, roasts that are not overly robust, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses, as well as everyday recipes. The BIO label indicates environmentally respectful farming practices; the producer name, Numa, appears on the label for a conscious, unpretentious everyday consumption.

Winery history
The estate was started by Pier Francesco Liberi in 2016 by taking over his grandfather Nucci Marcello's vineyards; the cellar on the estate was built in 2019.

Terroir and vineyards
Ripatransone (Ascoli Piceno, Marche). Family vineyards of about 15 hectares; hilly sites at ~250 m a.s.l., a few kilometres from the sea; soils with clay and stones/sandy components.
