The Rosso Valtellina DOC represents one of the most authentic and refined expressions of the Lombardy region, and Cantina Plozza, with its long history and dedication to quality, confirms this status through its wine. Primarily made from Nebbiolo grapes, locally known as Chiavennasca, this wine offers a perfect balance between tradition and innovation.

Visually, Plozza's Rosso Valtellina DOC has a very elegant ruby red color, which may tend to garnet nuances as it ages. On the nose, fruity notes of cherry and raspberry quickly emerge, enriched by floral scents of violet and withered roses, which blend delicately with light traces of spices and a very subtle note of tobacco, evidencing the careful aging in wood.

On the palate, the wine is consistent with the nose, offering a medium yet persistent structure, with well-integrated tannins and a pleasing freshness that invites another sip. The well-balanced acidity and the slightly almond aftertaste complete the tasting experience, making this wine an excellent companion for traditional Italian dishes, such as pizzoccheri alla Valtellinese or braised meat.

Ideal to be served at a temperature of about 16-18°C, Plozza's Rosso Valtellina DOC is a wine that can be appreciated both at a young age for its freshness and allowed to age for a few years, capable of developing even greater complexity.

A bottle of Rosso Valtellina DOC Plozza is more than a wine; it is a journey into the flavors and scents of a region that has made wine an essential part of its culture and allure.
