Technical information
Producer Spoleto Ducale
Gradation 15.0%
Format 75 cl
The Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG by Spoleto Ducale presents an intense ruby color with violet highlights, announcing a bold character. On the nose it offers good concentration: ripe dark fruits, plum and cherry, accompanied by a spicy thread and subtle hints of liquorice and leather that add depth without weighing it down. The balance between body and freshness is clear, and the salinity helps to offset the aromatic-tannic richness, making the wine elegant in its power.

On the palate the sip is full and enveloping: the tannic weave is robust but well integrated into a compact structure, supported by a long persistence that brings back fruity echoes and spicy notes. It pairs well with red meats, substantial roasts, game and aged cheeses; a short decanting and a serving temperature around 16-18 °C enhance its complexity. It is suitable for moderate bottle aging for those who wish to wait for further evolution.
