The Sangiovese DOC Smeriglio from Baracchi is a red wine offering an honest portrayal of the Sangiovese grape in a sober, clear style. With a bright ruby colour, it shows delicate aromas of cherry and small red fruits, floral hints and a slight spicy note. On the palate it confirms a good acidity typical of the variety, smooth tannins and a lean structure that promotes drinkability; the finish is straightforward and pleasantly persistent without excess.

It suits many everyday pairings: pasta with tomato-based sauces, light white and red meats, pizza and semi-firm cheeses. Serve cool from the cellar, around 16–18 °C, possibly with a brief aeration to open the aromas. Intended for medium-term consumption, it retains its freshness if stored in a cool, light-protected place. Ideal for those seeking a direct, sincere Sangiovese for the everyday table.
