The "Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Gallo Nero DOCG" represents one of the finest examples of the Italian wine scene, produced by the renowned Marchesi Mazzei winery, a family with deep roots in the history of Tuscan wine dating back to the 11th century. Located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, the Fonterutoli estate is known for its particularly favorable vine-growing terrain, thanks to an ideal microclimate and soils varying from limestone to clay.

The composition of this Chianti Classico is primarily based on Sangiovese grapes, with a small percentage of other local varieties, contributing to a harmonious and complex blend. The grapes are hand-picked and selected, ensuring the highest quality of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures, followed by a maturation period in oak barriques for at least one year, which gives the wine a robust yet balanced structure.

Visually, the Fonterutoli Chianti Classico presents an intense ruby red color, while the nose reveals vivid aromas of red fruits, floral notes of violets, and hints of spices and tobacco from the aging in wood. On the palate, the wine surprises with its elegance and balance, featuring silky tannins and a persistent freshness that invites a second sip. The finish is long and aromatic, with an aftertaste that recalls cherries and dark chocolate.

This wine pairs beautifully with traditional Tuscan dishes, such as bistecca alla fiorentina, dishes with porcini mushrooms, and aged cheeses. The Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Gallo Nero DOCG is a wine that can be enjoyed immediately, but also offers excellent aging potential.
