Il Bruno by Calonga is a Forlì IGT red wine made from Sangiovese grapes, expressing the character of the Forlì area in Emilia-Romagna. Its vinification includes fermentation in stainless steel and maceration on the skins, preserving the grape’s personality and the identity of the Romagna terroir. In the glass, it shows a ruby-red colour. The aromatic profile recalls red fruits, spices and delicate herbal notes. It has an alcohol content of 13.5% and comes in a 75 cl bottle.
Versatile and food-friendly, this red wine is well suited to flavourful dishes and convivial meals. Serve it at 16-18 °C to enhance its balance and aromatic intensity. It pairs well with red meat, cured meats and aged cheeses, making it suitable for a relaxed dinner or a shared meal. The family-run Calonga winery in Forlì carefully selects its grapes in the vineyard and combines tradition with modern winemaking to express the characteristics of Romagna. Best enjoyed within 3-5 years.
