The "Sassignolo" Sangiovese Romagna Riserva DOC from Tenuta Santa Lucia is a prime example of what the Romagna region can offer to wine enthusiasts. This reserve wine, produced exclusively with selected Sangiovese grapes, encapsulates the essence of this native variety in a bottle that displays character and complexity.

The color of "Sassignolo" is a deep ruby red, which tends to acquire garnet nuances with aging. On the nose, distinctive notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum emerge, enriched by hints of sweet spices and a light vein of tobacco and chocolate, resulting from maturation in barrique.

On the palate, the wine is structured and well-balanced. The natural acidity of the Sangiovese harmonizes smoothly with the soft, mature tannins, ensuring a pleasant and lasting sip. The aftertaste is long and leaves room for reflections on balsamic notes and a light mineral touch that recalls the land of Romagna from which it comes.

This Sangiovese Riserva is ideal to accompany robust dishes of Italian cuisine, such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses. Its complexity also allows for creative pairings with international dishes that require a wine with a strong identity and structure.

"Sassignolo" is more than a wine; it is a journey into the deep taste and traditions of Romagna, offering an intense sensory experience that evolves and improves with age. In its elegant bottle lies the opportunity to discover one of the most authentic expressions of Sangiovese from Romagna.
