"Sangue D'Oro" is a Passito di Pantelleria DOC offered by Carole Bouquet. It shows intense, enveloping aromas of dried fruit, dried citrus peel, honey and subtle floral hints; on the nose it is compact without being overly opulent. On the palate it reveals a well-balanced sweetness supported by freshness that prevents heaviness, with a soft texture and a pleasant persistence recalling candied fruit and honeyed notes.

Recommended as a contemplative wine or paired with dry desserts, dry pastries, blue cheeses and some cream-based desserts; it also suits small savory bites where sweetness provides contrast. Serve cool (around 10–12 °C) in wide glasses to enhance the aromas; store away from heat sources and strong light. More detailed information on the producer or the vintage is available in the technical sheet provided by the producer himself.

Winery history
Carole Bouquet acquired vineyards in Pantelleria and developed the Sangue D'Oro project to revive the tradition of the local passito; the project has grown over time to involve external wine producers and, recently, Pasqua Vini joined as a significant partner in the initiative. Some sources indicate the project began around 2005 and report acquisitions/equity stakes occurring in 2024–2025.
Production philosophy
It is conceived more as a cultural project than a commercial one: the aim is to place Pantelleria’s viticultural heritage, artisanal drying techniques, and support for the Pantelleria community at the center, to preserve a unique local heritage.
Terroir and vineyards
These wines originate on the island of Pantelleria, a volcanic area south of Sicily characterized by terraced vineyards protected by dry stone walls and the alberello pantesco. The principal grape is Zibibbo, used for the island’s typical passito wines.
