"Sangue D'Oro" is a Passito di Pantelleria DOC offered by Carole Bouquet. It shows intense, enveloping aromas of dried fruit, dried citrus peel, honey and subtle floral hints; on the nose it is compact without being overly opulent. On the palate it reveals a well-balanced sweetness supported by freshness that prevents heaviness, with a soft texture and a pleasant persistence recalling candied fruit and honeyed notes.

Recommended as a contemplative wine or paired with dry desserts, dry pastries, blue cheeses and some cream-based desserts; it also suits small savory bites where sweetness provides contrast.
