With its distinctly aromatic profile and the DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of its terroir, this wine is a true gem for white wine lovers.

Upon tasting, the Sauvignon Blanc - Bianco Bologna from "La Riva" impresses with its impeccable balance between lively acidity and an elegant structure. The palate is enveloped by notes of tropical fruits and citrus, with a hint of aromatic herbs that make the sip complex and memorable. The aftertaste is persistent and pleasantly fresh, inviting another sip.

Visually, the wine presents a bright straw-yellow color, with greenish reflections that hint at its freshness and vivacity. On the nose, it is immediately recognizable for its intense olfactory notes of passion fruit, lime, and a light touch of green bell pepper, typical of Sauvignon Blanc.

Perfect as an aperitif, this Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with light fish dishes, vegetable crudités, and fresh cheeses. A classic pairing could be with a seafood risotto or a tuna tartare, where the wine can truly shine by highlighting the delicate flavors of the dishes.

In summary, the Sauvignon Blanc DOC - Bianco Bologna - La Riva is not just a wine, it is a sensory experience that transports you directly to the green hills of Bologna, promising an unforgettable journey into the world of high-quality white wines.

Winery history
Tenuta La Riva was founded as a family project, driven by Alberto's passion and the tradition of several generations. The estate has grown steadily, focusing on bottle refermentation and the promotion of local grape varieties such as Pignoletto and Trebbiano Modenese, with the family involved in every stage from vineyard to cellar.
Production philosophy
The winery favors refermentation in bottle and a low-intervention winemaking approach: organic farming, low use of sulfites and techniques that respect the land and health. For sparkling wines they practice long periods of lees contact and perform disgorgements à la volée for low- or no-dosage wines.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate, located in the Colli Bolognesi at Castello di Serravalle, is surrounded by the characteristic calanchi of the Emilian Apennines and lies about half an hour from Bologna. It cultivates indigenous and international grape varieties suited to the hilly terrain.
