Pfitscher's Sauvignon Blanc Riserva "Mathias" DOC in Magnum format represents the pinnacle of the company's Sauvignon Blanc production, expressing the highest quality and rich winemaking tradition of Alto Adige. This winery, located in one of the most prestigious regions for the production of white wines in Italy, stands out for its adoption of sustainable practices and a carefully targeted approach to excellence, which is clearly reflected in this wine.

The Magnum format (1.5 litres) is not only ideal for special occasions and sharing with friends and family, but also contributes to a more harmonious evolution of the wine over time, allowing aromas and flavors to fully develop and integrate .

The "Mathias" Reserve is dedicated to Mathias Pfitscher, pioneer of family viticulture, and is produced exclusively in the best years, from Sauvignon Blanc grapes harvested by hand in vineyards carefully selected for their exposure and the quality of the soil. The careful management of the vineyard, combined with an ideal microclimate characterized by significant daily temperature variations, allows us to obtain grapes with exceptional aromatic concentration and a perfect balance between acidity and maturity.

The fermentation and refinement of "Mathias" take place in oak barriques, where the wine matures for approximately 12 months, followed by a further 6 months in the bottle before marketing. This process gives the wine a complex structure and unique aromatic nuances, which enrich the varietal profile of Sauvignon Blanc without overwhelming it.

Visually, the wine presents an intense golden yellow color, a prelude to its richness and complexity. On the nose, "Mathias" offers an exuberant bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit, such as apple and pear, enriched with nuances of citrus, aromatic herbs, vanilla and a light toasting, which reflect the elegant integration of the refinement in wood.

In the mouth, the wine is extraordinarily rich and enveloping, with a lively freshness that balances the aromatic complexity and richness of the body. The fruity notes blend with mineral accents and a delicate spiciness, leading to a long and persistent finish, which leaves a feeling of elegance and satisfaction.

Ideal in combination with refined dishes, such as risottos, fish and seafood dishes, white meats and blue cheeses, Pfitscher's Sauvignon Blanc Riserva "Mathias" DOC in Magnum format is a superb choice for wine lovers who appreciate the complexity, elegance and aging capacity of great white wines.
