La Ponca's Schioppettino Collio IGT presents a straightforward, upright character: it shows a ruby color with violet highlights and a bouquet that combines ripe red fruit with spicy and floral nuances, where black pepper coexists with hints of violet and small wild berries. On the palate it is lively, supported by fresh acidity and well-defined but never aggressive tannins; the texture is savory, medium-bodied, with a persistence that recalls spices and a slight mineral note typical of the Collio.

Easy-drinking yet structured, it is ideal with roasted meats, mushroom-based preparations, flavorful cured meats and medium-aged cheeses; it also suits rustic regional dishes. Serve at around 16–18 °C, opening the bottle a little earlier if you wish to soften the initial sharp edges. An everyday wine with personality, capable of offering immediate pleasure and a few surprises in every sip.
