The Sentiero del Fante IGT from Ventolaio is a red wine that represents an authentic expression of the Tuscan territory. Produced in the renowned region of Montalcino, this IGT (Typical Geographical Indication) wine blends traditional viticulture with a modern and elegant approach to winemaking.

The Sentiero del Fante is made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, the quintessential Tuscan variety, known for its ability to reflect the terroir and its versatility. The vines are cultivated on clay soils with a good limestone component, which gives the wine a solid structure and marked minerality.

In the winery, vinification occurs with traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with temperature controlled to preserve the fruity aromas and natural freshness of the grapes. This is followed by a maturation period, partly in oak barrels of various sizes and partly in bottles, to enrich the bouquet and ensure a perfect balance between tannins, acidity, and alcohol.

Visually, the Sentiero del Fante IGT displays a deep ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, intense notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a light touch of vanilla and leather emerge. On the palate, the wine is robust yet harmonious, with a well-integrated structure and a persistent finish that leaves room for sensations of dried fruit and sweet tobacco.

This wine pairs beautifully with Tuscan dishes such as roasts, bistecca alla fiorentina, and aged cheeses. It is also an excellent companion for tasting evenings, offering a complexity that invites reflection and exploration. It is best enjoyed at a temperature of about 18-20°C to enhance all its nuances.

The Sentiero del Fante IGT from Ventolaio is, therefore, a prestigious choice for those who wish to discover the essence of Tuscan viticulture through a wine of great character and refinement.
