The Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG "Sfursat Fruttaio Cà Rizzieri" by Casa Vinicola Rainoldi is a red wine of extraordinary intensity and complexity, the result of a winemaking tradition deeply rooted in the Valtellina region, in Lombardy. This wine represents the pinnacle of Rainoldi's production, a winery that for generations has dedicated itself to the valorization of native vines, in particular Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca, through careful viticultural practices and winemaking methods that enhance the peculiarities of the terroir.

Sforzato, or Sfursat, is produced according to a traditional method which involves drying the grapes, a process that concentrates sugars, aromas and extracts, giving life to a wine of great structure and longevity. The Nebbiolo grapes selected for the "Sfursat Fruttaio Cà Rizzieri" come from the best estate vineyards, located in particularly favorable positions, where the exposure and microclimate allow for optimal maturation.

After harvesting, the grapes are left to dry naturally in fruit cellars, ventilated environments where the flow of air favors the dehydration of the bunches, while at the same time preserving their healthiness. This process, which lasts for a few months, reduces the water contained in the grapes, concentrating their sugars and aromas. Subsequently, the grapes are pressed and the must ferments at a controlled temperature, to then mature in French oak barriques, where the wine acquires complexity, harmony and a subtle spicy note.

Visually, the Sforzato "Sfursat Fruttaio Cà Rizzieri" has a deep and bright garnet red color. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and complex, with notes of ripe red fruit, such as black cherry and plum, enriched by nuances of chocolate, coffee, vanilla and spices, the result of drying the grapes and aging in wood.

In the mouth, the wine is powerful but balanced, with silky tannins and well-integrated acidity that supports its structure and prolongs the finish. The aromatic range is expressed with intensity, evolving towards a long and persistent finish, which leaves an impression of elegance and complexity.

Ideal in combination with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats, game, mature cheeses and mushroom-based dishes, the Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG "Sfursat Fruttaio Cà Rizzieri" by Casa Vinicola Rainoldi is a wine that expresses the maximum expression of the Nebbiolo of the Valtellina, celebrating the richness and depth of this territory through one of its most emblematic and appreciated products.
