This Cabernet Sauvignon from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars comes from Napa Valley and shows a clear, recognizable aromatic profile. In an intense ruby red color with slight violet reflections, aromas of dark fruit and small red fruit emerge, accompanied by discreet herbaceous notes and gentle spice hints. On the palate it displays structure and present yet balanced tannins, with a clear, pleasant progression and a moderately persistent fruity finish; it communicates clarity and intensity without excess.

It pairs well with red meat dishes, roasts and mushroom-based preparations, as well as medium-aged cheeses; for those preferring subtler flavors, it can also stand up to richer but not overly aromatic dishes. Serve at about 16–18 °C; a short time in a decanter can help open the aromas. A wide glass enhances aromatic perception, making it suitable for convivial meals and flavorful dishes.

Winery history
The winery was founded with the purchase of the S.L.V. vineyard and the establishment of the estate in the 1970s; its international renown rose when the 1973 Cabernet S.L.V. took first place in the blind tasting at the 1976 Judgment of Paris. Over time the estate has expanded its vineyards and developed a range of estate and single-vineyard bottlings that have consolidated its reputation.
